It's the day after Hurricane Ike and all is well at the English household. There is a big-big pile of tree limbs and branches in the front yard and State Farm insurance has issued us a claim number for our roof. We lost electricity for about 8 hours and our roof took a beating from falling limbs and high winds but other than that everyone is safe and sound.
To celebrate God's protection of our family we are going to watch a Christian music group called 33 Miles in concert tonight in Kilgore. They are an up and coming group and the one song I've heard from them on the radio sounds good.
On a different note: Rachel, my daughter, just found out she will playing percussion in the band. She is in her first year in band. Provided she likes band and sticks with it all through High School, this means I have to hear 7 years of drums banging around the house as she practices for her performances. Tylenol anyone? Caleb, my son, plays the trombone and his first Pep-Rally performance and football game performance is coming up on Thursday. I am very proud of him.
